New Covenant

A renewal of the covenant Between God and his Children is through the blood and body of Christ. In order for the new wine to flow there has to be a time of repentance and turning our face to God. A time of surrender and partaking of the sufferings of Christ. Not of human effort, but a taking hold of a gift given by our father in heaven.

Walk the narrow path take up your cross and follow Christ. Take hold of the Joy of following Him. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the eating of the word of God and the sharing of the gift of grace and love, with the cross as our goal. Jesus our prize.

“So I rebuked the officials and asked them, “Why is the house of God neglected?” Then I called them together and stationed them at their posts. All Judah brought the tithes of grain, new wine and olive oil into the storerooms.”

Nehemiah 13:11-12 NIV

““Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing— grain offerings and drink offerings for the Lord your God.”

Joel 2:12-14 NIV

“The Lord replied to them: “I am sending you grain, new wine and olive oil, enough to satisfy you fully; never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations.”

Joel 2:19 NIV

“and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
