“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain. He is enthroned and seated at the right hand of the Father. Glory be to Him the Most High!
The train of his robe fills the temple. Bow down and worship Him who is worthy. He rules the earth and nothing is out of his sight. He has heard the cry of his people and just like in the time of Moses he is raising up those who will go in His name to the Remnant of Israel.
He is in control. He is watching that His covenant of Old comes full circle. The promise made to the Father’s of old; Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The covenant he made with Israel.
His arm is strong for battle and he is calling out, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” Who will go to the nation of Israel?
Here am I Lord, I will go! Send me!
The seraphim stands ready with a hot coal, to touch your lips.
You may not feel ready or qualified to speak on behalf of the Mighty one of Israel, but he has cleansed your lips and your guilt is no more and your sin is atoned for.
He doesn’t call you because you are worthy of the calling, but because of his great love for his people. He has chosen you to go and gather his remnants.
He won’t save Israel because of their righteousness, but because of the other nations wickedness and his covenant from long ago.
He is faithful to the children of the covenant and he is faithful to you who have been grafted in by the blood of the Lamb.
The complete rainbow symbolizes the completed word of God over Israel and over you!
The altar is the altar of the sacrificial Lamb that cleanses us of all sin.
The white cloth is the train of His robe; his glory that fills the room.
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for. Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!””
Isaiah 6:1-8 NIV
“Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, you his servants, the descendants of Abraham, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob. He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations, the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.””
Psalms 105:5-11 NIV
“At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne.
Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “ ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.””
Revelation 4:2-3, 8 NIV
